new blog, new guidelines {for me, not you}

I need to write these in here mostly so I keep to them, k? See, I'm trying to find the balance between connection with people I know {in real life, as in we've met in person & I like you} - & keeping things appropriately private.

 {connecting easily VS. blog privacy}

It's a tough balance. Some close to me don't like to have to sign into google just to read my private blog (which I'm still keeping ...more on that later). I TOTALLY understand - I dislike having to sign into anything pretty much.

So how do I reconcile that? Keep it easy for all 3 or 4 living generations to keep up? Yet keep private life's details confined to those we know & love? Technology is supposed to be our friend, after all - not our enemy. I don't have the answer. Do you have suggestions for me?

For now, what I've decided to do is keep 2 blogs - closely interconnected, but clearly defined.

This blog {public} is for:
-anything not too personal!
-fun stuff
-the products & pop culture & fashion posts I used to do
-pictures of our life, in a general sense
-basically, stuff I wouldn't mind Joe Schmoe reading

My private blog is for:
-more personal posts on feelings, 'heavier' musings
-incriminating photos (ok, kidding)
-most posts on the sweet baby
-detailed information on our house (just not good www sense to post public details of your house - hello burglar!)
-Husband's career

Suggestions to help me navigate this tricky balance are welcome.

A new home

I'm dusting off this keyboard again. So much of life has been happening - at such speed - that I couldn't keep up. I couldn't keep up on the blog, and at times I could barely keep up with life. I've wanted to get back into blogging, namely for keeping connected to friends near and far. I've been missing my connections, my people - and this is one way we can keep up with each other.

This recent move into our {modest, but still our...} dream home consumed me for several months. By 'consumed', I mean I felt like I was neck-deep in challenges I didn't know how to get through. I felt stretched to the limit. But here we are, moved in, up & running, and loving this home.

We're home!

Some of you haven't seen the home or pictures of it yet, and i promise, they're coming.

--until we have better images to share, here are some fun details from the iphones (i am in love w/ the floors, can you tell?)
